Southeast Players of the Week: Sasaki and Ramaraju

This past weekend the IJGT saw two unique players in Hank Haney International Junior Golf Academy (HHIJGA) students, Moyu Sasaki of Tokyo, Japan, and Lohith Ramaraju of London, England.

In the Event held at Shipyard Golf Club, Sasaki claimed her third straight top-three finish, which earned her the Southeast Player of the Week. So far this season Sasaki has been very consistent and this week was no different. She once again proved how good of a golfer she is by placing second. In the event Sasaki fired two solid rounds of 76-74 for a total of 150. For the tournament she had a total of four birdies, 24 par's, six bogeys and two double-bogeys.

Our male Player of the Week is our Hank Haney International Junior Golf Academy student, Lohith Ramaraju of London, England. This was Lohith's first victory with the IJGT and second top-five finish this season. After firing a first solid round of 76 followed by a 10-over-par 82 on the second day for a two-day total score of 158, he distanced himself from the field by four strokes. For the tournament Lohith had an average score of 79, a total of 3 birdies, 18 pars, 13 bogeys and two double-bogeys.

We will see our Player's of the Week back in action October 15-16, 2011, at Hilton Head Lakes in Hilton Head Island, SC, where Sasaki will try to win her first IJGT event and Ramaraju to get his second straight victory with the IJGT. We look forward watching their successes in our upcoming Event.
