IJGT's Top Venues: Play Where the Pro's Play
With IJGT You'll be Playing in the Footsteps (or divots) of the World's Best!
A unique aspect about many of our International Junior Golf Tour (IJGT) events is that we provide an opportunity for our contestants to “play where the pro’s play.” Our tournaments are hosted at courses that have held PGA, LPGA, Nationwide Tour and Champions Tour events. While other tours boast that they play at similar venues, IJGT plays the actual course, not just another course on the property. We have and will be visiting many of these courses and it will be your chance to walk amongst the greats of the game.

The impressive list includes the Kiawah Island Golf Resort, host to the IJGT Carolina Championship. This beautiful Pete Dye design offers ocean views on many of the holes throughout the property. Kiawah Island’s Ocean Course was host to the 1991 Ryder Cup and, in August, it will be the site of the 2012 PGA Championship.
On five separate occasions Bulle Rock Golf Club in Harve de Grace, Maryland (the site of the IJGT Major Championship: The Battle at Bulle Rock) has hosted the LPGA Championship. Won by the likes of Annika Sorenstam and current world number one Yani Tseng, IJGT competitors will be tested at The Battle at Bulle Rock just like those LPGA stars.

Our first West Coast Series Event, the West Coast Swing at Soboba Springs, also comes attached with a Championship pedigree. The Nationwide Tour’s Soboba Classic has been a proving ground for the up and coming stars of professional golf since 2009. The up and coming stars of the IJGT will definitely enjoy playing this fun yet difficult layout.

Ranked by Golf Week Magazine as the third best public course in the state of Georgia, The Club at Savannah Harbor is the host course of the IJGT Georgia Open. Every year the Champions Tour, Liberty Mutual Legends of Golf is contested at the course. Major Champions Hale Irwin, Tom Watson, and Bernhard Langer have all been victorious.

Many people consider The Players Championship a fifth Major for the PGA Tour. The Pete Dye designed Stadium Course features the famed Island Green at the 17th hole. Our players were faced with the daunting task of playing the 17th in our final IJGT Major Championship of the Fall 2011 Tour and they did a great job in coping with the pressure and thrill of playing the hole.

The 4th Annual Hank Haney Invitational was the premier event of the 2011 IJGT fall series. Host course of the RBC Heritage, Harbour Town Golf Links is known for its red and white lighthouse that sits behind the 18th green. Past winners of the Heritage include Davis Love III and Boo Weekly.

The IJGT Bridgestone Golf Tournament of Champions will be played at Grand Cypress Resort from May 26th to the 28th. It will feature the best players from all age groups and include exemptions to other major junior tournaments. The players on the LPGA tour took to the course for the inaugural CME Group Titleholders in November of 2011. Included in the field was winner Hee Young Park and Lexi Thompson.

Located in Carlsbad, California, La Costa Resort and Spa, the site of one of IJGT's West Coast Series Events in Fall 2011, will once again be hosting the best women in the world during the LPGA Kia Classic. The IJGT contestants took to the newly renovated Legends Course at the resort. The players were impressed with the new look of the course, and were especially excited to see how well the LPGA players like it in March.
