IJGT Announces the Spring 2012 Bridgestone Tournament Series

Do you need to play in all four events to qualify for the series ending prizes?
 
No, the point leader at the end of the four tournaments will win the prize of their choice (in their respected age group) whether they played in one event or all four events.  
 
 
Do you have to play a Bridgestone Golf ball during the actual tournament rounds?
 
Yes. In order to qualify for the points you must play the designated event with a Bridgestone Golf ball.
 
 
Who is allowed to compete in the Bridgestone Tournament Series?
 
Any IJGT member who signs up to participate in any of the four tournaments that comprise the Bridgestone Series.
 
 
How do you win the Bridgestone Tournament Series?
 
Any player finishing in the top ten for their age group will receive points. These points will carry over from event to event and the leader in points after the IJGT Bridgestone Series Event at Mill Creek Golf Club will be declared the winner.
 
 
How are points awarded?
 
Points will be awarded to the top 10 players in the Boys 15-19, Boys U-14, and Girls Division in each of the denoted events in the Bridgestone Tournament Series.  Following is the breakdown for points per event:
 
1st - 110 points
2nd - 95 points
3rd - 80 points
4th - 70 points
5th - 60 points
6th - 50 points
7th - 40 points
8th - 30 points
9th - 20 points
10th - 10 points
 
If there are ties for a specific place, the points will be split evenly. For example, a three player tie for 2nd Place would result in each player receiving 81.67 points (245 total points for 2nd (95), 3rd (80) and 4th (70), divided evenly among three players).
