Top 5 Reasons to Play the Discovery Tour

The International Junior Golf Tour (IJGT) and Junior Sports Corporation are proud to announce the start of a new tour: the Discovery Tour. The Discovery Tour was designed for any junior, age 8-12, to gain a fun and enjoyable tournament experience while preparing to compete in regular IJGT events in the future. Each 9-hole, one day event will offer a fun way to learn and compete!
So why should you or your junior athlete play on the Discovery Tour? Here are the top 5 reasons!
5. Meet new friends
The Discovery Tour is a great way for juniors to meet new friends with the same passion - Golf! In the first year of the Tour, all tournaments will be hosted in the Northeast, making long lasting friendships and bonds a possibility!
4. Gain tournament Experience
The Discovery Tour was established for juniors with little or no tournament experience to gain the knowledge and understanding of what it takes to compete against others of their same age. Discovery Tour Events will start just after the last group from the IJGT tournaments tee off. This gives participants the option to watch the older groups tee off before their own round begins.

3. Learn the rules of golf
After each Discovery Tour event, a rules seminar will be given to all participants. Rules seminars will be open to participants, caddies, and family members who are interested in learning the rules, tips, and other topics that will aid the junior golfer to become a better golfer!
2. Play some of the top venues in golf
The IJGT prides itself on hosting events at some of the greatest and most prestigious golf courses - the Discovery Tour is no different. IJGT events have been played at Courses including TPC Sawgrass, Pinehurst, Bethpage State Park, and Harbour Town Golf Links. and other top venues!
