The Florida Swing at Falcon’s Fire

(Kissimmee, Fla.)- The International Junior Golf Tour (IJGT) will be heading down south for the Florida Swing at Falcon’s Fire held at Falcon’s Fire Golf Club on May 12-13, 2012. The tournament will showcase talented junior golfers from all over the world.

Besides being located very close to Walt Disney World Resorts, Falcon's Fire also offers an unparalleled golfing experience. The Reese Jones designed course has been awarded 4 stars by Golf Digest and is known for its great conditioning and beautiful setting. The course can be played at over 7,000 yards and provides a challenge to even the most skilled of players.  

This will be IJGT competitors last opportunity to qualify for the Bridgestone Golf Tournament of Champions (TOC). TOC is the premier event of the IJGT season and will feature 3 days of tournament play, special quest speakers, and a banquet. 

Boys U-14 competitor Connor Downey of Franklin, TN should be the player to watch at the event. In his three previous IJGT tournaments he has two victories one coming at Hershey Country Club on September 3-4, 2011 and the other at Hilton Head Lakes on October 15-16, 2011.

First round play will begin at 7:30am on Saturday May 12, 2012. Final round play on Sunday May 13, 2012 will also begin at 7:30am, followed by an awards presentation. The competitors will be split up into three divisions consisting of the Boys 15-19, Boys U-14, and Girls Divisions.

About the IJGT

The IJGT provides exceptional junior golfers with the opportunity to develop and showcase their competitive skills while setting high standards to preserve the traditions and integrity of the game.  As a tour that operates primarily throughout the academic year, the IJGT hosts approximately 60 tournaments annually.
