IJGT Summer Series Announced

Two Summer Tournaments Available

Hilton Head Island, S.C. - The International Junior Golf Tour (IJGT) is pleased to announce that it will be conducting two stroke-play tournaments over the summer of 2012. The events are open to all juniors across the world ages 9-19. The tournament entry fee includes one practice round and two tournament rounds, as well as registration gifts that players typically receive at IJGT events.

You do not need to be a member to sign up for the event, but we are offering a $100 discount for the 2012-2013 IJGT Membership if you would like to play in one of the Summer Series events. The 2012-2013 IJGT membership will give you access to all IJGT events held during the calendar year - over 60 tournaments!

IJGT Junior at Port Royal - June 26-27, 2012

IJGT Junior at Dolphin Head GC - July 16-17, 2012

The first tournament will be at Port Royal Golf Club contested at The Barony Golf Course, which is one of the oldest golf courses on Hilton Head Island.  The challenge on this course is not length, but instead requires precise shot making and accuracy. The event is open to all junior golfers to compete in, including those who are attempting to qualify for the AJGA event (Hank Haney IJGA Junior Open at Bear Creek Golf Club) that takes place during the same week.

The IJGT Junior at Port Royal guarantees junior golfers whom are attempting to qualify for the AJGA event (Hank Haney IJGA Junior Open at Bear Creek Golf Club -June 25-28th) an opportunity to play in a nationally ranked tournament. The golfers that do qualify for the AJGA event will receive a full refund of all IJGT tournament fees.

The second tournament will be held at Dolphin Head Golf Club. The tournament will feature some of the most talented junior golfers from the local area, as well as juniors from around the world.

Dolphin Head Golf Course is located inside the legendary Hilton Head Plantation. This Gary Player design winds through tall oaks and by the Port Royal Sound to create quite a challenge for all skill levels. Being true to a Gary Player design, there are over 50 bunkers and undulating greens to test even the best junior golfers in the area.

The IJGT provides exceptional junior golfers with the opportunity to develop and showcase their competitive skills while setting high standards to preserve the traditions and integrity of the game. As a tour that operates primarily throughout the academic year, the IJGT hosts approximately 60 tournaments annually. In addition, the IJGT hosts three international events. Each event provides multi-day competition for junior golfers of all skill levels ages 9-19.
