European Junior Golf Cup 2012 Team USA Released

The Fourth Euro Junior Golf Cup will be held in St. Andrews, Scotland July 25-27. The annual competition hosts teams of 14 from the International Junior Golf Tour (IJGT), the Canadian Junior Golf Association (CJGA), and the FIFE team Scotland in a unique triangular match play event.

The event will be played on three of Scotland’s finest courses for the John Clark Trophy, awarded every year for the winning team. Each team will be split into three divisions – four in the Boys Under 14 years old, eight in the Boys 15-19 years old, and two in the Girls 19 and Under.

2012 Team USA Participants

Chase Roswall  - Bristol, TN

Chase has played in seven IJGT tournaments thus far winning three of them and placing second twice. He also place 4th at the Bridgestone Golf tournament of Champions. He will also be competing in the North America Cup July 1-4.

Daulet Tuleubayev – Hilton Head, SC

Daulet is a full-time member of the Hank Haney International Junior Golf Academy who competed in five events winning three of them. He is currently ranked #2 on the Boys U-14 tour.

Will Thompson – Pittsford, SC

Will has competed in eight events this year finishing in the top seven all but twice. He won The Bridgestone series at Mill Hall. He too will be competing in North America Cup

Nicholas Russell – Hilton Head, SC

Nicholas has been playing since a very young age. He will be playing in the IJGT Junior at Port Royal on June 26-27.

Oliver Ayer – Hamden, CT

This will be Oliver’s second time competing in this international event. He helped team USA to second place finish in last year’s tournament.

Connor Jones – Newnan, GA

Connor played in six Southeastern Junior Golf Tour events. Connor will be attending the University of West Georgia in the fall.

John Edwards – Paducah, KY

Edwards has competed in three tournaments this year and should be a big benefit to team USA. He will graduate in 2014.

Henry “John” Sandlas – Seneca Falls, NY

John played only one tournament with the IJGT this year. In other tournaments this year he has 15 top 15 finishes with 7 victories.

Brad Rutkin – Great Neck, NY

Rutkin is a multiple sport athlete who also plays Baseball and Hockey. He excels at golf and will be competing for team USA for the second year in a row.

Kyle Hughes – Polaski, NY

Kyle finished sixth in his district match play tournament as a junior and placed in the state qualifier with the Pulaski Academy and Central School.  Hughes will graduate in 2013.

Chris Buscanera – Baldwin, MD

Chris was a 2011 Mid-Land Wachuset League All-Star. He was also his golf team’s team captain in 2011 and 2012. He also won the team Sportsmanship Award.

Roland Massimino – Lumberville, PA

Roland took first in the IJGT at the Architects Club, second at Crystal Springs as well as placing in the top ten six times during the 2011-2012 season. Massimino will graduate in 2015.

Lizzie Hammel – Wexford, PA

Hammel is member of the HHIJGA. She has played in eight total events this season. Team USA will benefit with Lizzie on the girls team, she is set to graduate in 2013.

Kali Boyer – New Ringold, PA

Boyer is a full-time student at the Hank Haney IJGA. She has competed in eleven events so far this year posting three top ten finishes.
