From Outside the Ropes to Center Stage
The top junior golfer’s from three International organizations arrived at St. Andrews Scotland this week to compete and represent their nation at the Euro Junior Golf Cup. Upon arrival at Glasgow Scotland’s International Airport, Team USA was traveling with only 50% of its players. IJGT Team Captains Chris B. and Zach E. didn’t lose any sleep. No reason to be worried as half the US team has been in Scotland for the last two weeks! After taking in the sites and watching Louis Oosthuizen’s journey to the British Open Championship, Team USA is now prepared more than ever to bring home their own.
With the majority of team USA clear of jet lag and already accustomed to the time change, the team morale was at an all time high going into the practice rounds. But wait… word just reached Team USA; the Canadians missed their 8 a.m. flight to Scotland! With CJGA Team Captain John L. in control, the team was able to catch the next flight out of Toronto and will still make it on time to their practice rounds. So will the Canadians shake their jet lag? Will Team USA and Fife use their luck as an advantage?
