Invitationals
Major Championships
There will be 7 Major Championships conducted throughout the season. IJGT Competitors can earn their way into a Major Championship by performing well in open IJGT events. At these events, all players will receive a dozen golf balls, towel, hat, wrist band, Quagmire golf shirt and an IJGT backpack. Fun activities such as putting contest, closest to the pin and a glow in the dark long drive contest will be performed at these events. In addition, competitors who compete in these Major events will have the chance to qualify for the Inaugural IJGT Cup.
The following players will be invited to compete in the Major Championships:
- The Top 5 finishers in the Boys 16-19 Division
- The Top 3 finishers in the Girls 15-19 Division
- The Top 3 in the Boys 13-15 Division
- The Winner of the Boys 12 & Under Division
- The Winner of the Girls 14 & Under Division
Tournament of Champions
The Tournament of Champions takes place each May over Memorial Day weekend at Grand Cypress Resort in Orlando, FL. The Tournament of Champions will be held on Jack Nicklaus signature designs North/South and New golf courses. In addition to the three tournament rounds, the IJGT Tournament of Champions will include the Awards Banquet on Sunday evening at the Grand Cypress Hyatt and special gifts from IJGT and other sponsors.
The IJGT has hosted its Tournament of Champions at the Grand Cypress Resort for the past ten (10) seasons. This year, the Tournament of Champions will feature over 200 golfers from around the world that have earned an invitation during the regular season.
There are several ways to earn an invitation to the Tournament of Champions. They are as follows:
- If any player win's an IJGT tournament during the season in their respective Age Division.
- The Top 3 finishers in each Age Division in all IJGT Major Championships.
- The Top 5 finishers in each Age Division at the Mid-Season Championships.
- The Top 10 finishers from the 2009-2010 IJGT Tournaments of Champions.
Based on availability, the remainder of the championship field will be filled by order of Merit based on the 2009-2010 Merit Point standings.
North America Cup

This international event takes on a Ryder Cup format with the IJGT Team USA competing against Canadian Junior Golf Association (CJGA) Team Canada. Each year, the event switches host country with the 2010 event held at May River Golf Club in Bluffton, SC. In 2011, CJGA Team Canada will host IJGT Team USA at Weston Golf Club in Toronto, Canada.

Juniors
Juniors who wish to qualify for IJGT Team USA for the North America Cup must qualify through the various sites outlined in the 2010-2011 IJGT tournament schedule.
Juniors must meet the following requirements:
- Juniors must meet the age requirement outlined in the international event when participating in the qualifier
- Juniors must be a member of the International Junior Golf Tour
- Juniors must be in good standing with the IJGT
- Juniors who are selected for IJGT Team USA must be an American citizen.
Selection for IJGT Team USA
The IJGT Team USA Selection Committee will determine the juniors who represent IJGT Team USA by the following process:
- The Winners of the Mid-Season Championship East
- The Winners of the Mid-Season Championship West
- Player's standings on Order of Merit
- Two (2) At-Large Captain's Picks
IJGT TEAM USA 2010
The IJGT Cup
The inaugural IJGT Cup is a team match play competition featuring the 16 best male and female junior golfers from the Southern States versus their counterparts from the Northern States. Matches include four-ball, foursomes and singles. Scoring is based on a points system with 32 total points available over the three days of competition. The event is highlighted by the team camaraderie and spirit generated by the juniors and Team Captains

- Juniors must be a member of the International Junior Golf Tour
- Juniors must be in good standing with the IJGT
- Juniors who are selected for IJGT Team USA must be an American citizen.
SELECTION FOR IJGT TEAM USA
The IJGT Team USA Selection Committee will determine the juniors who represent IJGT Team USA by the following process:
- Player's standings on points earned based on finish in select Euro Junior Golf Cup qualifiers
- Two (2) At-Large Captain's Picks
- The IJGT reserves the right to select team members outside the qualifying requirements.
