Tournament of Champions

The Tournament of Champions takes place each May over Memorial Day weekend on the Jack Nicklaus signature New Course at Grand Cypress Resort in Orlando, FL. IJGT has hosted the event at this prestigious venue since 1999.  In addition to the three tournament rounds, the IJGT Tournament of Champions will include the Awards Banquet at Universal Studios Florida and special gifts from IJGT and other sponsors. The Tournament of Champions is an open event to all IJGT members and will feature golfers from around the world. Entries are open to all International Junior Golf Tour Participants who are in good standing which means:

  1. the player will not have reached their 20th birthday by the day of the final round of the Major Championship;
  2. conform to the USGA Rules of Amateur Status as specified in the USGA Rules of Golf, and
  3. have competed in an IJGT qualifying event

Major Championships

Four (4) Major Championships will take place throughout the season. Major events competitors will receive DOUBLE MERIT POINTS towards the Tour Rankings, which increases opportunities to qualify for other Invitational and Junior Amateur events. For all Open Events in which the field capacity is reached, the waiting list will be based on first come-first serve.

IJGT Invitational

The Invitational is one of the Tour’s prestigious events on the fall schedule. The tournament field will consist of top junior golfers from across the United States and abroad. The tournament will take place on the famed Harbour Town Golf Links and will be limited to 88 players. For all Open Events in which the field capacity is reached, the waiting list will be based on first come-first serve. IJGT members are encouraged to register at any time during the season for Invitational events.

North America Cup

  • Date: July 5-8, 2016
  • Site: Oldfield Golf Club, Hardeeville, SC

The North America Cup pits 14 of the IJGT’s best players from the 2014-2015 season against 14 of the Canadian Junior Golf Association’s (CJGA) finest golfers in a three day match play event. Fourball matches, foursome matches, and singles matches make up the three competition rounds.





Team Format
4- Boys 14 & Under Fourball Matches
8- Boys Aged 15-19 Foursome Matches
2- Girls 19 & Under Single Matches

Juniors must meet the following requirements:

  1. Juniors must meet the age requirement.
  2. Juniors must be a member of the IJGT.
  3. Juniors must be in good standing with the IJGT.
  4. Juniors who are selected for IJGT Team USA must be an American citizen.

Selection for IJGT Team USA

The IJGT Team USA Selection Committee will determine the juniors who represent IJGT Team USA by the following process:

  • Winners of the 2015-2016 Major Series of Events
  • IJGT Tour Standings
  • Prior tournament experience
