John Brown, Jr.

John Brown, Jr.

IJGT Chief Executive Officer

John, a PGA Master Professional, has spent his entire professional career in the golf business spanning over 40 years within the industry. He founded Brown Golf Management in 2011 and grew his family-run business to operating 30 courses along the East Coast, stretching from Pennsylvania to Florida. At the time of his retirement in July 2017, Brown Golf ranked in Golf Inc‘s top 25 golf management companies in the world. John’s time in retirement was short-lived as he joined IJGT as the CEO a few months later. Prior to establishing BGM, he coached collegiate-level golf teams for twelve years for Dickinson College in Carlisle, Pennsylvania and Lafayette College of Easton, PA. Originally for Geneva, New York, John attended the University of Louisiana (Lafayette) and the College of New Jersey where he lettered in both football and golf. He graduated with a Bachelor of Science degree in Recreation Administration and Management. He has been a member of the PGA of America for 38 years. Under his leadership, IJGT has elevated the level of golf course venues for tournament play, increased participation among junior enrollment and shared his expertise in the golf industry with his IJGT staff — which yields a better tournament experience for junior players.
