After winning twice on the IJGT, Cheyenne Woods of Phoenix, Ariz., added her first ever Ladies European Tour victory on Sunday, February 9, 2014. Posting a 4-under-par 69 on round two and finishing the tournament with an impressive 16-under-par 276 overall, Woods nabbed first at the Australian Ladies Masters. Woods, an elite golfer with an All-American record at Wake Forest University, held off a tough field on the final day, but she took a two-stroke lead on the par-5 15th hole and never looked back. She earned her first major professional tour victory with this win, and a two-year exemption into Australian Ladies Tour events.
The niece of Tiger Woods competed on the IJGT as a junior, where she routinely finished in the top three at IJGT tournaments. After winning her first IJGT Event in 2001 at the IJGT Strata Desert Junior Open, she returned in 2002 to earn her second victory at the IJGT Phoenix Junior Open, improving her two-day score by 18 strokes. We are proud of Cheyenne’s collegiate and professional accomplishments thus far, and the IJGT looks forward to hearing about her many successes in the future. Congratulations Cheyenne!
