The IJGT will continue the North East Tour with the #ArchitectsCup held at Architects Golf Club on April 12-13, 2014. Golfers will play 18-holes on both Saturday and Sunday while competing for National Rankings and IJGT Merit Points.

Located in Lopatcong, NJ, the Architects Golf Club is a par 71 course that honors some of golf’s greats at every hole including A.W. Tillinghast, Donald Ross and Alister MacKenzie. It also has earned many achievements including being voted “#3 Best Public Courses in NJ in 2013″ by NJ Monthly and “# 4 Best Public Course in NJ in 2012″ by Golf Magazine. This IJGT Tour stop is recognized as one the most challenging, scenic, and historically significant courses in the Northeast.

The strong playing field at The Architects Cup will be exciting to watch. In the Boys 15-19 Division, keep an eye out for Curren Mody of Monmouth Junction, N.J. Mody took second place in the event at Architects last season and is returning this year in hopes to take first. This season, Mody has two top-10 finishes, including taking first place in the South Jersey Open at Blue Heron Pines. Also returning to Architects, will be John Felitto from Mountainside, N.J. Felitto took first place in the 14 & Under Division at Architects last season. This year he will move into the 15-19 Division and hopes to compete for first again. Sam Goldenring of Florham Park, N.J., will try to continue his momentum at this event. Goldenring recently took first place in the Philly Challenge at White Manor CC.
In the Girls Division, Susana Vik of Greenwich, CT, will be a player to watch. Vik took first place at the Bridgestone Golf Tournament of Champions back in the 2011-2012 season. Last season, Vik finished in second place in the Major Championship at Architects Golf Club. Another player to watch will be Allyson Wentworth of Stewartsville, N.J. Wentworth has finished within the top five at her last three IJGT events played. Her most recent finish was third place in the Philly Challenge at White Manor CC.
In the Boys 14 & Under Division, Leo Hernandez of Stewartsville, N.J., will be a golfer to watch. Hernandez has finished top-3 in all three of his IJGT events played this season. Hernandez is also coming off a first place finish in the Philly Challenge at White Manor CC. Other players in this division to look out for include Ford Bennett of Owings Mills, MD and Jack ODonovan of Pittsford, N.Y.
