Boys 15-19 trio featured in IJGT Photo of the Week – July 26, 2014

As the Summer Series continued, the IJGT made its way to Country Club of Hilton Head on July 22-23, 2014, to host the two-day, 36 hole event. The field featured 15 talented junior golfers competing in two divisions based on age. The South Carolina heat made both days warm but slightly breezy for play. The IJGT Photo of the Week following the Summer Series at Country Club of Hilton Head features a trio of Boys 15-19 members (left to right), Pongsakorn “Plug” Booranakunamanee of Samutprakran, Thailand, Jack Faraci of Port Jefferson Station, N.Y., and Andres Lopez of Monterrey.

Faraci finished first at the Summer Series at the Country Club of Hilton Head, one stroke ahead of second place finisher Booranakunamanee. The win for Faraci was his first top-three finish in IJGT events. Faraci’s performance included two second-round birdies and an eagle to lift him to victory.

Booranakunamanee carded scores of 80-75–155 overall in his first IJGT appearance, enough to record his first top-three finish. While in Hilton Head as part of the IJGA Summer Experience, Booranakunamanee has also participated in the College Golf Camps of Hilton Head. Booranakunamanee had a near perfect final nine holes where he finished with a par or better streak on No. 11 through No. 18.

Also in Hilton Head as part of the IJGA Summer Experience, Lopez has taken advantage of IJGT events. Improving upon his sixth place finish at the Summer Series at Oyster Reef on July 11-12, 2014, Lopez used 16 pars and one birdie to finish fourth at the Country Club of Hilton Head.

Congratulations to Faraci, Booranakunamanee and Lopez – we look forward to seeing them again in future tournaments!
