Bridgestone Golf Tournament of Champions – Round two recap (May 24, 2015)

The IJGT traveled down to Orlando, Fla., to host its biggest event of the season, the Bridgestone Golf Tournament of Champions. Juniors teed off in warm and sunny conditions beginning at 7:30 a.m. for the second round of the three-day, 54-hole event. In review, below are each division’s leaders’ rounds, in numbers.

Ryoto Furuya

Ryoto Furuya of Alpharetta, Ga., leads the Boys 15-19 Division. His round in numbers:

141 – His 3-under two-day total to lead the division

1 – He leads by a single stroke

3 – He carded three consecutive birdies on holes No. 15 through 17

5 – He collected six birdies during the second round

Robin Williams

Robin Williams of Leeds, United Kingdom, leads the Boys 14 & Under Division. His round in numbers:

147 – His two-day total to carry the lead

2 – He leads the division by two strokes

2 – He carded back-to-back birdies on the par-3 eighth and par-5 ninth holes in round two

Sera Tadokoro A

Sera Tadokoro of Osaka, Japan, leads the Girls Division. Her round in numbers:

154 – Her two-day total to lead the division

1 – She leads by a single stroke

8 – She knocked eight strokes off her round one score

4 – She carded four birdies during the second round

The final round of the Bridgestone Golf Tournament of Champions will take place tomorrow, May 25, 2015, with tee times beginning at 7:30 a.m. The Boys 15-19 Division will play the East/North Course and the Boys 14 & Under and Girls Divisions will play the New Course. For full results from round two, click here.
