Justin Keiley, an IJGT Alum, wins the John Burns Intercollegiate

Justin Keiley (BYU), who was active on the IJGT, won the John Burns Intercollegiate on Friday, February 21, 2014, with an impressive 10-under-par 134. In the rain-shortened event, Keiley was able to put four strokes between him and the defending champion to claim medalist honors. His low rounds helped secure a second-place finish for the Brigham Young Men’s golf team.

Keiley, from Haiku, Hawaii, scored a top-10 finish in his first IJGT tournament at Temecula Creek in 2008. He posted a 3-under-par 69 on the first day to take a share of second place, and finished the tournament only eight strokes off the leader in a tough IJGT field. We look forward to seeing Justin’s continued success in the NCAA ranks, and want to congratulate Justin and the BYU Cougars on their impressive finish amongst the NCAA’s toughest competition! Simin Feng, IJGT Alum, Wins Central District Invite in Playoff

Simin Feng, an IJGT alum, won the 2014 Central District Invitational at the Lakewood Ranch (Fla.) Golf and Country Club on Feb. 18, 2014. Feng, who is a freshman at Vanderbilt University, shot a 9-under-par 207 to tie Allyssa Ferrell of Michigan State. In a scorecard playoff, Feng bested Ferrell on the 18th with a birdie to earn her individual medalist honors, and help Vanderbilt secure the overall win at the tournament.

Feng played in several IJGT tournaments from 2005 to 2006, scoring a number of top-10 finishes in the Girls 10-14 year old division, including an eighth place finish at the 2006 IJGT Tournament of Champions. The IJGT community is thrilled with Feng’s immediate success in the NCAA ranks and is proud to include her among the ranks of IJGT alumni who continue to succeed in NCAA competition. Congratulations to Feng and the Vanderbilt Commodores women’s golf team on their early success this season!
