Duke Golf Club, located at Duke University, is home to the 2013 Men’s ACC Champion golf team and a course know for its intricate design. Though the course went through a series of plans that fell through, the course was finally built and opened for public play in 1957. Today, the course lies on a piece of land strategically selected for the rolling elevations and careful fit into the natural terrain. As golfers play this course, an abundance of foliage and streams provide an enjoyable backdrop of North Carolina. Being home to elite college golfers, the facility also offers multi-million dollar practice facilities intended for work on the technical aspects of the game.

Competition will be fierce across all three divisions at Duke. Luigi D’Amico of Forli, Italy, and Maurizio De Bono of Basiglio, Italy, both rank in the top 25 in the Boys 15-19 Division and will be among those looking to add another victory to their resume. D’Amico is coming off of a second-place finish at the Palmetto Open at Columbia Country Club on March 23, 2014, a finish that added to his eight top-10 finishes in the 2013-2014 season. De Bono looks to add another tournament to his own six top-ten finishes.

Though small, the Boys 14 and Under Division features three juniors who all have top-five finishes this season. Jack Halleron of Timonium, Md., Ford Bennett of Owings Mills, Md., and Quade Lukes of Chapel Hill, N.C., will all look to secure their first ever IJGT win.

Keep an eye on Rei Nakatani of Tokyo, Japan, as she has finished in the top-3 in seven of eight tournaments in the 2013-2014 season. Alexandra Yarosh of East Falmouth, Mass., will look to make a first impression as she plays her first ever IJGT event.
