This weekend, IJGT is hosting the Faldo Series New Jersey Championship at The Architects in Lopatcong, NJ. Along with the 2-day tournament, we are going to have a short presentation on College Golf and the recruiting process, where players can get valuable information on the recruiting process and have their questions answered on how to get a college golf scholarship.
Our speaker, John Brown, is a New Jersey native who for over 30 years has been a mover and shaker in the golf industry. John was a collegiate head coach for 12 years at Dickinson and Lafayette College, and is now working to help junior golfers find their college homes with the International Junior Golf Tour and the International Junior Golf Academy. As a head coach, he won the NCAA Eastern Region Coach of the Year.
John Brown is also a PGA Master Professional, two-time PGA Section Junior Golf Leader of the Year, and serves on the PGA’s Strategic Direction Planning Symposium. He has been featured in PGA Magazine and was on the cover of Golf Business Magazine.
This is a great opportunity to gain insight into the recruiting process and the steps it takes to earn a college golf scholarship by presenting yourself to coaches in the right way.
John will be speaking immediately following Round 1 of the event. You can register here:
This is also the final qualifying event for the first ever Faldo Series US Grand Final at Bella Collina. The top five players in Boys and Girls U16 & U18 Age Divisions will earn their spot at the 3-day event in Montverde, FL. Not only is this an historic event (the first Faldo Series Grand Final opportunity for domestic junior golfers) but winners of the event will qualify for the 2018 Faldo Series Asia Grand Final. The event will kick off Wednesday night with a banquet hosted by Sir Nick Faldo including a Question & Answer for players and the major champion himself.
If you have any questions or issues registering, email firstname.lastname@example.org and we will get back to you as soon as possible.
