Golf-Course-September-2009-B-014In the penultimate weekend of the spring season, the IJGT Northeast Tour will host the College Series at The University of Maryland in College Park, Md., on May 16-17, 2015.

This event will give IJGT members the chance to play at an NCAA Division I facility, the University of Maryland Golf Course.

Opened on the University of Maryland’s campus in 1959, the par-71 golf course underwent extensive renovation for the first time in 2009. To read more about the course’s history, click here.

In 2003, the course was named a Certified Audubon Cooperative Sanctuary by Audubon International. The approximately 150 acres of wooded and rolling terrain is home to multiple species of birds, mammals, amphibians and reptiles as well as dozens of varieties of trees.

Juniors will compete for IJGT Merit Points, national rankings and North American Junior Amateur exemptions during the two-day, 36-hole event.
