AVONDALE, La. – The first round of the International Junior Golf Tour (IJGT) Junior at TPC Louisiana was dominated by one story line: the wind. On an unseasonable warm day just outside of New Orleans, high winds created havoc for the junior players in the field. With consistent speeds of 25 mph or more and gusts up to 35 mph it was most certainly a day where par was a great score on every hole. Even with the tough playing conditions, some competitors were able to post solid scores.
In the Boys 15-19 Division, Gage Primeaux of Lake Charles, La., was able to offset the wind and put together an impressive score of 81 to take the first-round lead. Here is Primeaux’s round by the numbers.
