SCOTTSDALE, Ariz. – The first round of the International Junior Golf Tour’s (IJGT) West Coast Kickoff at TPC Scottsdale featured many stellar performances. The par-71 course was setup up at nearly 6,800 yards with a tough set of hole locations. This combined with scorching temperatures in the high 90s with over 50% humidity gave the competitors all they could handle.
In the Boys 15-19 Division, Sam McKay of Scottsdale, Ariz., was able to navigate the Stadium Course in 1-over-par 72. He will look for his first IJGT victory on Monday at the Champions Course at TPC Scottsdale.
