IJGT Announces Spring 2013 Bridgestone Tournament Series

HILTON HEAD ISLAND, S.C. – The International Junior Golf Tour (IJGT) is excited to announce the 2013 Spring Bridgestone  Tournament Series. After a successful series in 2012, the IJGT Bridgestone Tournament Series offers extra incentive to juniors who participate in specific events using a Bridgestone ball during competition. This season the tournament series is as follows:

Bridgestone Tournament Series at Westfields – March 16-17 – Clifton, Va. 

Bridgestone Tournament Series at Greate Bay – March 30-31 – Somers Point, N.J. 

Bridgestone Tournament Series at Longaberger – May 18-19 – Nashport, Ohio 

The Bridgestone Series will be open to any registered participants in the previously listed tournaments. Juniors who choose to participate will earn points for their finish in their respective divisions (Boys 15-19, Boys 14 & Under, and Girls) based on the following points scale.

1st – 110 points
2nd – 95 points
3rd – 80 points
4th – 70 points
5th – 60 points
6th – 50 points
7th – 40 points
8th – 30 points
9th – 20 points
10th – 10 points

Here is the kicker: in order to be eligible to earn points you must play a Bridgestone Golf ball. The IJGT hands out a dozen top of line Bridgestone B-330 Series golf balls to each participant at every tournament. Some prominent players on the PGA TOUR and LPGA who play Bridgestone include Matt Kuchar, Brandt Snedeker, and Paula Creamer. Starting this year, Bridgestone Golf will also give a hat to every player that chooses to participate in the challenge.

At the conclusion of these three events, the grand prize will be awarded to the overall point leader in each division. The winners will get to choose from one of the following prizes:
