It was another exciting week for the IJGT ELITE, who were all over the news for their various accomplishments. Read on to find a collection of some of our favorite articles about IJGT alums from the past week.

Brandon Matthews (Temple) was featured in the Pittston Sunday Dispatch after winning the Furman Intercollegiate. You can find the article here. Matthews went on to win his second consecutive tournament, the Met Intercollegiate, this past weekend. After the win, Temple head coach Brian Quinn said that he feels Matthews is the best player in the country. Read more about Matthews’ most recent victory here.

Beau Hossler (Texas) won the Southern Golf Association’s National Amateur of the Month award. To read more about the award, click here.

Fun Fact: Max Rottluff (Arizona State) has a 68.97 stroke average in 10 events this year. He currently sits at third on the Sun Devil Season Scoring list, just above Phil Mickelson. Learn more here.

Moving onto the LPGA Tour, Morgan Pressel finished third in the ANA Inspiration. During the tournament Golfweek wrote an article about Pressel that said she was “showing the familiar fans of Missions Hills some of the spark that made her the youngest major champion in LPGA history eight years ago.” You can read the rest of the article here.

Finally, on the PGA TOUR, IJGT alums Morgan Hoffmann and Rickie Fowler are both in the Top 25 Masters rankings according to ESPN’s Michael Collins. Read what Collins had to say about Hoffmann and Fowler, and view the rest of the list, here. Fun Fact: Hoffmann and Fowler played college golf together at Oklahoma State University.
