Southeast Tour

The IJGT Southeast Tour traveled west to Litchfield Park, Ariz., to host the Arizona Open at Wigwam on April 3-4, 2015. Juniors competed in warm and sunny conditions for IJGT Merit Points, national rankings and North American Junior Amateur exemptions during the two-day, 36-hole event. Following the tournament, the IJGT Southeast Tour is pleased to award IJGT Player of the Week honors to Eric Hagen of Averdeen, Wash.

Eric Hagen

Hagen started off the tournament strong, finishing the front nine 1-under par in round one. But, he struggled on the back nine and found himself in a three-way tie for third after finishing the first round with a 5-over 77. He bounced back in the second round, carding four birdies on his way to a 2-over 74. His six birdies led the division and earned him the Eyeline Golf Golden Putter Award, the award presented to the junior to card the most birdies in each division of an event. Hagen finished with a 151 tournament total, landing him in a two-way tie for second place.

Northeast Tour

The IJGT Northeast Tour hosted the Jersey Shootout at Greate Bay Country Club over Easter weekend, April 4-5, 2015. Juniors braved strong wind gusts while competing for IJGT Merit Points, national rankings and North American Junior Amateur exemptions during the two-day, 36-hole event. Following the tournament, the IJGT Northeast Tour is proud to award IJGT Player of the Week honors to Max Ting of Atherton, Calif., and Bailey Plourde of Newcastle, Maine.

Max Ting A

Ting shaved five strokes off his round one 83 to card a 78 in round two. His 161 tournament total was good for second place in the Boys 15-19 Division in his first IJGT event.

Bailey Plourde A

After finding herself tied for fourth with a round one 90, Plourde buckled down in round two, knocking six strokes off her round one score to record an 84 in round two.
