Justin Keiley (BYU), who was active on the IJGT, won the John Burns Intercollegiate on Friday, February 21, 2014, with an impressive 10-under-par 134. In the rain-shortened event, Keiley was able to put four strokes between him and the defending champion to claim medalist honors. His low rounds helped secure a second-place finish for the Brigham Young Men’s golf team.
Keiley, from Haiku, Hawaii, scored a top-10 finish in his first IJGT tournament at Temecula Creek in 2008. He posted a 3-under-par 69 on the first day to take a share of second place, and finished the tournament only eight strokes off the leader in a tough IJGT field. We look forward to seeing Justin’s continued success in the NCAA ranks, and want to congratulate Justin and the BYU Cougars on their impressive finish amongst the NCAA’s toughest competition! Congrats Justin!
