Ku, Zinman earn IJGT Player of the Week honors – April 21, 2015

The IJGT Northeast Tour traveled to Lopatcong, N.J., to host The Architects Cup on April 18-19, 2015. Juniors competed for IJGT Merit Points, national rankings, AJGA stars and North American Junior Amateur exemptions during the two-day, 36-hole event. Following the tournament, the IJGT is pleased to award Player of the Week honors to Anina Ku of Basking Ridge, N.J., and Brian Zinman of Center Valley, Pa.

Ku shaved six strokes off her round one 6-over 77 to card an even-par 71 in round two. Her 148 tournament total was good for third place in the Girls Division. She had a 16-hole par-or-better streak, which came on holes No. 2 through 17 in round two. Her second-round 71 earned her the Clazic Belts Low Final Round award, which she shared with St. Davids, Pa., native and second-place finisher Brynn Walker. Two of Ku’s four birdies came on par-5s, leading to a 4.9 average on par-5s. This is Ku’s fourth season competing on the IJGT. She won the only other IJGT event she’s competed in this season, the Jersey Shootout at Greate Bay Country Club, earlier this month.

Zinman carded a 78 in round one and a 79 in round two to finish with a 157 tournament total. He birdied the par-5 first hole in both rounds. Competing in his first IJGT event, Zinman tied for 26th place in the Boys 15-19 Division.

Congratulations to both Anina Ku and Brian Zinman on their IJGT Player of the Week honors!
