Lawrence Ree (Loyola Marymount), in his freshman year, competed as an individual at the recent Sacramento State Invitational where he made the most of his opportunity. With a 4-under-par 212, Ree tied for the individual medalist honors on March 4, 2014, in Elk Grove, Calif. With a final-round even-par 72, Ree held on to the lead until Ben Kreuger of the University of Northern Colorado caught up with him in the final round to tie for first place. Ree’s consistently low rounds of 70, 70 and 72 put him in the lead early on in the tournament.
Ree was a consistent top-10 finisher on the IJGT, with four top-10 finishes in his IJGT career. The IJGT is proud to see him successful in just his first collegiate year and his consistent play is a testament to the type of competitor Ree truly is. We wish him luck in the rest of the season, and look forward to following his collegiate career! Congratulations Lawrence!
