About Oldfield Golf Club

Oldfield

Oldfield Golf Club was designed by Greg Norman to be something special. The course is set in between Hilton Head Island and the Okatie River. The course itself is a Certified Audubon Cooperative Sanctuary which includes eye pleasing views from every hole. Norman added waste bunkers alongside most of the fairways for increased difficulty. The course has marshes that come into play as well as sod-walled bunkers surrounding the greens.  “We dream of getting a site like this one,” noted Greg Norman, when asked about Oldfield. “And since this is our first course in the Lowcountry, we want to make it something special.”

The Euro Junior Cup is held where the game of golf first began, in St. Andrews, Scotland. The IJGT will compile a team of 14 talented junior golfers to travel to golf’s birthplace and compete in a unique triangular match play event against the Canadian Junior Golf Association (CJGA) Team Canada and The FIFE Team Scotland. Competitors will battle it out on three of Scotland’s most prestine courses for the John Clark Trophy, awarded every year to the winning team. Team USA will stay at the famous St. Andrews University, located just minutes away from The Royal and Ancient Golf Club of St. Andrews. This is truly a once in a lifetime experience that will create memories and friendships that last a lifetime. This event will take place August 1-9th, 2014.
