Notes from the First Round – PURE Grips Shootout

SCOTTSDALE, Ariz. – Warm temperatures and an abnormal breeze made scoring conditions very difficult at the International Junior Golf Tour (IJGT) PURE Grips Shootout at Troon North Golf Club. The Event was contested on the Monument Course, which is ranked the No. 5 “Best Course You Can Play” in Arizona by Golfweek.

The Monument Course was not yielding many low scores and they were able to card the lowest round of the day by avoiding big numbers which are common because of the desert areas located so close to the fairways. Tomorrow’s final round will be a great battle between these two players and the other couple competitors that are within striking distance of the lead.
