Pacific Coast Open at Half Moon Bay

The International Junior Golf Tour (IJGT) will be traveling out west to Half Moon Bay, Calif., for the Pacific Coast Open at Half Moon Bay on Nov. 16-17 in another anticipated installment of its West Coast Tour. Playing on the gorgeous Old Course which features a world-class 18th hole overlooking the Pacific, the participants will be fighting for National Rankings and IJGT Merit Points.

In the Boys 15-19 Division, Jake Larson, of Cottonwood Heights, Utah, and Michael Bove of Truckee, Calif. will be a couple of the talented players competing for medalist honors and rankings. This will be the second event of the season for Larson, who recently finished 16th at the College Series at Colorado National Golf Club on Oct. 12-13. Bove is in his second season with the IJGT. After tying for third in last season’s Golden Gate Junior at Presidio Golf CourseBove also added another top three finish to his resume after tying for second place at the NorCal Junior at Darkhorse Golf Club on Sept. 21-22.

The Boys 14 & Under Division will feature Cole Skach of Reno, Nev., who is in his second season with the IJGT. He will be looking for his first win after two third-place outings at the Reno Junior at ArrowCreek on May 4-5, 2013, and the recent NorCal Junior at Dark Horse Golf Club.

Samantha Gongfrom San Francisco, Calif., will be representing the Girls Division. Also in her second IJGT season, Hong will be looking to crack the top three, which would be a first-time accomplishment after finishing tied for fifth at the Golden Gate Junior at Presidio Golf Course during the 2012-2013 season.
