Gaines Continues Winning Ways; Takes First Place at The Architects

Jairus Gaines (Baltimore, MD) clinches his second win of the season and is looking forward to the  Faldo Series U.S. Grand Final.

Lopatcang, NJ: The International Junior Golf Tour continued its Fall campaign and concluded its final qualifier for the upcoming Faldo Series U.S. Grand Final, with the New Jersey Championship at The Architects Golf Club. Jairus Gaines, a 2018 grad from Baltimore, MD clinched first-place after the 36-hole tournament; his second win of the Fall season. Gaines put together scores of 71 and 73, for a 144 total, 2-over Par.

In second-place for the weekend is Luke Sample. The New York native stormed back Sunday with a low round of 69, going with his opening round of 76 for a total of 145. In a two-way tie for third-place are Jeremy Summerson and Andrew Perry. Summerson, of Victor, NY finished the weekend with scores of 75 and 74, while Perry put together rounds of 73 and 76, totaling their scores for 149, 7-over Par.

Over in the Girls Division, Inseo Huh, a 2020 graduate put together a solid weekend earning herself both the weekend victory, and qualifying for the Faldo Series Grand Final. Huh, a resident of Closter, NJ finished with a total score of 161, with scores of 79 and 82 for the weekend. Coming in second-place is Maya Torpey of Malvern, PA. The 2019 graduate opened the weekend with an 84, followed by a score of 80 for the final round. Finishing in third-place is Amisha Kalra, of Short Hills, NJ. Kalra finished the weekend with scores of 90 and 92, for a total of 182.
