Murata Makes his Mark; Wins Island Open
Murata goes wire-to-wire for 1st place, and first victory of season

Hilton Head Island, SC: The International Junior Golf Tour hosted the Island Open at Dolphin Head Golf Club over the weekend. Coming out on top of the 36-hole competition is Kotaro Murata, who is a native of Matsuyama, Japan put together a stellar weekend on the course with scores of 69 and 71 for a 140 total. Marc Groenhuysen captures second place after a solid weekend with a 143 total. Sharing a tie for third place is Luis Martinez and Felix Van Kleef. Both finished with a total score of 146, Martinez shot scores of 77 and 69, while Van Kleef ended the weekend with scores of 74 and 72.

For the Girls Division, Sissi Wang captured her first victory of the Fall campaign after a weekend with scores of 80 and 77. Following her in second-place is One Kashima, who finished the weekend shooting an 82 and 84 respectively. Tying in third place is Stephania Vargas and Maria Fedorowycz. Vargas ended the weekend with scores of 89 and 83, while Fedorowycz tallied scores of 84 and 88, a total score of 172.
