The IJGT will host its second Callaway Junior World Qualifier event on May 3-4, 2014, at the Golden Bear Golf Club at Indigo Run in Hilton Head, S.C. The SC Callaway Junior World Qualifier is a two-day event that will include two 18-hole rounds to be played on Saturday and Sunday. Callaway Junior World Qualifiers are the largest internationally-recognized junior events known for global representation and cultural diversity. At stake are IJGT Merit Points and national rankings as well as an invite to the IJGT’s Bridgestone Golf Tournament of Champions to be played at Grand Cypress Resort on May 24-26, 2014.

The semi-private Nicklaus designed course features towering oaks native to South Carolina and has a significant presence of water to make the course difficult yet breathtaking. Junior will enjoy the natural setting of the course as they use finesse and strategy to navigate the winding course.
Players to watch in the Boys 15-19 Division include Tennoshin Ogawa of Ichinomiya-shi, Japan, and Nicholas Russell of Hilton Head, S.C. Ogawa, currently second in the IJGT Boys 15-19 Divisional Tour Rankings, boasts three first-place victories in eight events played in the 2013-2014 season. Russell also adds a first place victory of his own in his eight top-10 finishes this season.
In the Boys 14 and Under Division, Chandler McDowell of Springbrook, Canada, will look to take home the SC Callaway Junior World Qualifier title as he enters the tournament with five top-three finishes, three of which were first place victories.
Watch for Rei Nakatani of Tokyo, Japan, in the Girls Division as she looks to add a victory to her resume. Nakatani has finished in the top five in all eight events she has played including a third-place finish at the Major Championship at Kiawah Island.
