International Junior Golf Academy to sponsor IJGA Invitational at Harbour Town

The International Junior Golf Tour (IJGT) is excited to announce the International Junior Golf Academy (IJGA) as the tournament title sponsor for the IJGA Invitational. The IJGA Invitational  will be held at Harbour Town Golf Links on December 12-13, in Hilton Head Island, S.C.

The last of the Fall IJGT Major Championships, the IJGA Invitational, will take place December 12th and 13th at Harbour Town Golf Links located on Hilton Head Island, S.C. The PGA Tour has made Harbour Town a staple of their schedule since 1969, with the RBC Heritage taking place on the course. The par-4, 18th is regularly voted one of America’s top 50 golf holes and the famous candy-cane striped lighthouse has become one of golf’s most iconic images.

The IJGA trains junior golfers for success in tournament golf and beyond. The IJGA is the only academy in the world that combines training, academics, and competition. Through their supportive and competitive environment, students develop the critical qualities of commitment, goal setting and a consistent work ethic to best impact their academics, golf, and future endeavors.


The IJGA offers an array of different programs. Available programs are the full time program, post grad & gap year programs, summer camps, weekend programs, holiday programs, and custom programs. The full time program offers nine months of combined training and schooling for junior golfers ready to reach the next level while the weekend program offers junior golfers two days of individualized instruction, daily meals, and housing. The IJGA has a program that will fit your junior golfer’s needs or will be able to create a custom plan to help them achieve their goals.

Laurel Springs School Major Championship

The International Junior Golf Tour (IJGT) is excited to announce Laurel Springs School as the tournament sponsor for the Major Championship at Mission Inn. The Laurel Springs School Major Championship at Mission Inn will be held on Nov. 14-15, 2015, in Howey-in-the-Hills, Fla.

 The Laurel Springs School Major Championship will be held on the El Campeon Course at Mission Inn Resort and Club. The El Campeon course features rolling fairways. undulating greens, and elevation change of over 85 feet, with the par 5 double dog leg taking center stage. As is for all IJGT Major Championships this tournament will feature double IJGT Merit points. At the end of the 2015-2016 season the top 10 players in the IJGT Merit Standings will be named to the All-IJGT Team.

 Laurel Springs School is an accredited, private, online high school that offers a complete selection of core academic and elective courses required for graduation and admission to college. IJGT announces All-IJGT Teams and Players of the Year

Shiso Go, Jack Halleron and Victoria Parker named IJGT Players of the Year

The International Junior Golf Tour (IJGT) is pleased to announce its Players of the Year and All-IJGT Teams.

Shiso GoShiso Go of Kanagawa, Japan, is the Boys 15-19 Division Player of the Year. Go placed in the top 10 in all 10 IJGT events he competed in this season, including wins at the IJGT College Series at NC State, the Major Championship at Dormie Club and the IJGA Invitational. His lowest score of the season was a 3-under 69, which he carded twice.

The rest of the Boys 15-19 Division All-IJGT Team includes: Jason Stokes of Channel Islands, Jersey, Conor Byrne of Dublin, Ireland, Tennoshin Ogawa of Ichinomiya-shi, Japan, Xue Wen Luo of Haikou, China, Santiago Diaz of Merida, Mexico, Mark Benevento of Somers Pt., N.J., Trey Wren of Suffolk, Va., Kyle Vance of Audubon, Pa., and Ritwik Jain of New Delhi, India.


Jack HalleronJack Halleron of Timonium, Md., won five IJGT events, including three Majors, to earn IJGT Player of the Year honors for the Boys 14 & Under Division. Halleron placed in the top two in all seven events he competed in and won the Major Championship at Outdoor Country Club, the Major Championship at Duke University, the Jersey Shootout at Greate Bay Country Club, the Major Championship at Bulle Rock and the College Series at the University of Maryland. His lowest round was a 1-under 70 at the University of Maryland.

The rest of the Boys 14 & Under All-IJGT Team includes: Luke Sample of New York, N.Y., Ford Bennett of Owings Mills, Md., Evan Greenplate of Hilton Head Island, S.C., Jake Calamaro of Newtown Square, Pa., Chase Phillips of Hilton Head Island, S.C., Ayushman Jaiswal of Bangalore, India, John Updike of Wayne, Pa., Lou Baker of Timonium, Md., and TJ Buck of Penfield, N.Y.


Victoria ParkerVictoria Parker of Lewiston, N.Y., is the Girls Division IJGT Player of the Year. Parker captured three IJGT titles at the College Series at Penn State University, the Major Championship at Outdoor Country Club and the St. John Golf & Fitness Open at Mendon Golf Club. Her lowest round was a 1-under 71, which she carded during the first round of the Major Championship at Outdoor Country Club.

The IJGT Tour Rankings are based on IJGT Merit Points, which are awarded to the top 10 finishers at every IJGT event. Double merit points are awarded at Major Championships.

About the IJGT

The IJGT provides exceptional junior golfers with the opportunity to develop and showcase their competitive skills while setting high standards to preserve the traditions and integrity of the game. As a tour that operates primarily throughout the academic year, the IJGT hosts approximately 60 tournaments annually. In addition, the IJGT hosts three international events. Each event provides multi-day competition for junior golfers of all skill levels ages 9-19. Players representing 45 states and 43 countries around the world regularly compete in events at venues such as TPC Sawgrass, Nemacolin Woodlands Resort, Kiawah Island Resort and Harbour Town Golf Links.
