IJGT adds another PGA Tour venue to Fall Schedule

HILTON HEAD ISLAND, S.C. – The International Junior Golf Tour (IJGT) will add another PGA Tour stop to the 2013 Fall Schedule. The IJGT Georgia Junior at Sea Island Resort will be contested on the famed Seaside Course on Aug. 24-25.  Home of the PGA Tour’s McGladrey Classic, the Seaside Course ranks among the best courses in the southeast region of the United States.

Originally designed in 1929 by famed architects Harry S. Colt and Charles Alison, the Seaside Course was updated in 1999 by Tom Fazio – earning it a prominent place on Golf Digest’s list of “Top 100 Courses in the United States.”  Tidal creeks, dunes, salt marshes and the St. Simons Sound frame the course, which plays fast, firm, and fun in the tradition of legendary Scottish links.

The par-70 layout will test all aspects of your game. The accolades of the Seaside Course are numerous including the No. 1 ranking from Golfweek’s Best Courses to Play in the state of Georgia. With great practice facilities and world-class lodging on site this is an event that you will not want to miss.
