The 18-hole course played host to the Shoprite LPGA Classic for nearly a decade. Greate Bay has three sets of tees measuring 6,705 yards at its longest. There’s a little bit of everything from bunkers to windswept greens to water hazards on this par-70 course that boasts plenty of practice space for driving, pitching, chipping and putting.

Greate Bay (3) At the Jersey Shootout, boys and girls can qualify for the IMG World Junior Championship in the following age divisions: 11-12, 13-14 and 15-17. IJGT Merit Points and national rankings are also up for grabs at this event. Girls can also earn performance-based AJGA stars.

Metropolitan Junior at Forsgate Country Club – Tour Preview

The IJGT Northeast tour will continue with the Metropolitan Junior at Forsgate Country Club in Monroe Township, New Jersey on March 28-29, 2015.

Hole 15 - Banks Course

The Forsgate Country Club boasts two distinctly different 18-hole championship courses. IJGT golfers will get the chance to tackle the deep, rich greens of the Banks Course during this event.

The par-71 Banks Course at Forsgate measures 6,844 yards. Juniors will enjoy the challenge of playing the “buried elephants” of the horseshoe-shaped par-3 12th hole modeled after commonly elevated short holes in Scotland.

The site of a rare feat, consecutive hole-in-ones in 2002, Forsgate is the ideal backdrop for IJGT golfers to make a little bit of history themselves. At stake are IJGT Merit Points, national rankings and AJGA performance stars for Boys (15-19) and Girls.

A handful of juniors competing in the Boys 15-19 Division have valuable experience under their belts. Scarsdale, N.Y., native Jonny Emmerman, Spring Lake, N.J., native Kellen Jordan, Westwood N.J., native Christopher Lee and New York, N.Y. native Nicholas Ng all competed in last year’s Metropolitan Junior at Forsgate Country Club, also held on the Banks course, and will look to earn a spot atop the leaderboard in this year’s event.

Also keep an eye on York, Pa., native Joe Parrini in the Boys 15-19 Division. Parrini won the only other IJGT event he’s competed in this season, the Major Championship at Outdoor Club in October.

Jack Cornforth of South Hamilton, Mass., tops the list of players to watch in the Boys 14 & Under Division as he’s looking for his second IJGT victory of the season. Cornforth won the IJGT Philly Open at Radley Run in September.
