The IJGT kicked off the summer series at Crescent Pointe in Bluffton, S.C., on June 17-18, 2014. The weather was great all week and the staff at Crescent Pointe was outstanding. There were many great scores throughout the whole tournament with a few players posting career-best finishes on the IJGT. The brother-sister duo from Bangkok, Thailand, Kanawut Uenghiranpaisan and Ammy Uengiranpaisan have received IJGT Player of the Week honors.
Playing in his 10th IJGT event of the 2014 year, Kanawut Uenghiranpaisan carded a career-best third-place finish. He started off the first round with a score of 83 but bounced back to card a 4-over-par 75 in the second round. Kanawut Uenghiranpaisan made five birdies in his second round, none more impressive than his birdie on the par-5 17th hole. The Bangkok native showed consistency throughtout the round by going 2-under on holes five through 10. We wish Kanawut the best and look forward to seeing him again for tournament play!
Ammy Uenghiranpaisan, playing in her eighth IJGT event of the year, began her summer at Crescent Pointe by firing a career-low score of 85. She linked together a stretch of spectacular pars on holes 12 through 16 to finish the day in second place. Ammy Uenghiranpaisan has seen tremendous progress playing with IJGT thus far and we are excited to see what success comes from her in the future!
