Wentworth, Bradbeer bring home IJGT Player of the Week honors – July 31, 2014

As the IJGT Summer Series continued at the beautiful Ridge at Back Brook in Ringoes, N.J., great weather and ideal course conditions made for a truly memorable tournament.  The IJGT would like to extend congratulations to Peter Bradbeer of Rosemont, Pa., of the Boys 15-19 Division, and Allyson Wentworth of Stewartsville, N.J., of the Girls Division for earning the honors of IJGT Players of the Week.

Wentworth showed significant improvement in the second round, cutting eight strokes from her first round score.  The New Jersey native finished 14 holes in the second round with a score of par or better, including a birdie on the difficult No. 6, which she doubled in the first round.  She came into round two composed and was able to finish with the second lowest round-two score in the Girls Division.

Bradbeer in his first IJGT event of the summer has a commendable performance. After getting off to a slow start in round one, Bradbeer kicked things up  by carding three birdies in the round. Bradbeer came into the second round determined and focused and started out hot. His front none included eight pars and a birdie on the long par-4 No. 4. His 1-under 35 on the front nine in round two propelled him to a finish with a 1-over score of 73, an extraordinary 15 stroke improvement from his first round.

Congratulations to both Wentworth and Bradbeer on their noteworthy performances! We look forward to seeing you soon at IJGT tournaments.
