There was no reason to look to the sky this 4th of July because IJGT’s brightest stars were on full display at Bishops Gate, FL. The 3-day tournament delivered explosive golf.
The winner of the Boys Division, Tristan Galant, birdied six of his last seven holes in round one and carded 17 birdies overall. Jantai Malatev had two eagles over the weekend, and Jason Hsu went 21 holes without a bogey. Hot stuff!
Not to be outdone, the Girls Division saw the winner, One Kashima, also go 21 holes without a bogey. She became WAGR ranked with her victory. Hibiki Adachi had two eagles and Dilyara Bulambayeva carved out 40 pars over her three rounds. As Katy Perry would say, “Boom, Boom, Boom…”

The 3rd Annual Faldo Series U.S. Grand Final concluded with amazing results from the IJGA students. Joon Jang, current student at IJGA Old Carolina, swept the entire field with a stellar performance and a final score of -13 to claim the overall title. Wanxi “Alex” Sun (IJGA BG) had a great comeback in the final round, shooting -3 on the last 9 holes for a final round of 72 and a +4 total, winning the Boys U18 division by scorecard playoff. Aaron Lin (IJGA BG) was second after a final score of +4. On the boys U16 Division, Kenny Leseur from IJGA Bishops Gate was the winner with a total score of -1, claiming the first place by 19 shots. Felix Feres (IJGA BG) was second with a total score of +18.
